Four Things You Should Know about Holi, Festival of Colors

1. The Original Color Fest (which draws 75,000 people to Spanish Fork over two days) is coming to the Dixie Sun Bowl in St. George Utah Sat. Oct 19th, Noon - 5 pm.  www.festivalofcolorsusa.com

2. It originated in India and was popularized at the Hare Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, Utah, as above. (www.utahkrishnas.org) The festival marks the passing of seasons and heralds new beginnings. Time to bury all those old hatchets.

3. The festival also brings together people of all walks of life, throwing away the barriers to equality. Throw that class system out the window.

4. From Noon in St. George festival goers throw coloured powder in the air every hour, keeping the rainbow of colours flowing for the whole event. There will be great live bands, yoga, and vegetarian food.
